I just placed an order for prothane motor mount inserts for 90-91 tegs and then thought of something(of course it wasn’t until after I ordered them). I’m wondering if these mounts will work with any b-series motors. I haven’t narrowed down what I’m doing yet but it’ll either be with a b20, b18c or a b18b block. Will these inserts work no matter which engine I use? Thanks.
I have a B16 in my car and I had to use the original motor mounts for my LS. If that helps any.
What year is your car and did you use any aftermarket motor mounts or motor mount inserts?
91 LS, used the energy suspension motor mounts.
I’m sorry… motor mount inserts.![]()

Yes because your use the original mounts from the car to mount any b-series motor in there.
You ready for some rough and ready steering wheel shaking fun? I can’t stand poly motor mount inserts.
Just a fair warning about those mounts…they close up the space between the stock mounts and the chassis of the car, so when you install them and your car has more vibrations thats why…all the vibrations from the engine is transferred to the chassis and the motor mount (stock one that is) usually takes care of the shake…its not that bad and its easy to get used to, but you will tell a difference, or at least I did on my old civic…they help with wheel hop alot though…good luck…
I just put them in and my car shakes like hell at idle!!!
so much vibrating
I installed the ES bushings sides and front
