I pulled the B18A1 out Saturday and put the B20B in Sunday with a friend.
Thanks to Rob “lsvtecstich” for letting me use the engine hoist.
I have a dc2 obd1 engine harness can I make this work?
Or should I re use the old one?
There is one big plug that plugs into the body but the other two dont otherwise everything is the same.

Use the engine harness from the B18A1, it’s a simple changeover to the B20. Otherwise you’ll be stuck looking at schematics for a while, lol
Yea my buddy is bringing it back by for me to see if we can salvage it, was pretty hacked up.

Yes I do need a garage, the garage was converted to a den already when we bought the house.
Thinking of a carport later on.
But hey have to compromise with my wife and she is awesome when it comes to my project so ill take what I can get lol.
I also spoke with my buddy who bought the engine off me and he is going to give me the old harness back and we r gonna use some plugs off the dc harness that are missing off the one that came out of the car.
So we will be busy this weekend.

Well my buddy did a great job on the harness got it running last weekend.
Going to the exhaust shop his weekend to get some adjustments done to the hangers to raise the exhaust a bit so it won’t scrape.
Also toying with the notion of going nitrous and basic bolt one with a tune.
Using a tune from the old motor and its strong right now.
looking for reliable fun with this car. Weekend track toy now but streetable.

Not much done this weekend, just cleaned out my shed and organized.
I do have blue front and back seats that I want to trade for black ones for my DA.

So my wife ended up buyin a 2013 Ford Fiesta 5spd yesterday to replace our family car.
So this means more time to work in my DA and take my time on the build.
Thinking of leaving the car gutted behind the front seats since its gonna be a track/ street car anyways.
Nitrous is definitely on the agenda, plan on doing it right, tune, bottlewarmer, purge kit ECT. .
Issues with the car now,
Needs new radiator and hoses shift linkage bushings shot, exhaust.
Passenger window motor out of service, and whatever else I find.
Plan on dry icing the trunk area and finding these damn leaks everytime it rains water in the trunk…wth
Been awhile since an update, shift linkage needs replacement, put in a half size radiator dual core unit.
Going through some issues with the car. But we r getting closer to daily use.
