so the tranny was rebuilt by mr niceguey. he installed a ls 5th gear into the b17 tranny
has syncrotech 3/4 carbon lined synchros with brandnew springs and 3/4 slider and brand new seal kit.
and my mr niceguy built stickers
this came in the mail today was waiting for me when i got home on my break

Very nice build sir, if you wouldn’t mine me asking how much was the tranny rebuild ? like the gears, synchros, bearings, seals, and labor cost. I’m just curious cause I’m bout to do same thing on a b16 tranny and all shops charge different rates for different folks.
b17 trans looks great…i think imma have to take my b17 in too now…hmmm who to trust to work on it here…
Well parts were cheaper cuz i had a spare trany but the syncros n seals wer i believe 2-300 i can ask my friend in total it was almost 600.
My boys a beast he does majority of our site in cts trannys. He has tranny that have done low 9s. But he have me his discount for parts cuz he owns a tranny shop . He charged me real cheap for labor
That sounds like a lot to me and you still had to use a spare tranny for parts. I wonder how much it would of cost if you didn’t have a spare tranny. I got quoted 150.00$$$ for labor plus whatever parts I need to replace, for sure it will need a new input-shaft bearing and seal plus half a case due to it being cracked. But none the less I’m glad you got your’s fixed , I bet when you put it on and drive it will shift like glass. I guess in the end it’s all worth it because it beats having a shitty ass tranny that doesn’t do jack shit for you. 
I got brand new 3rd and 4th gears and carbon syncros and a brand new seal kit. He steam cleaned itand chemicaly cleaned it and painted. He also completely inspected it. Al i realy used was the ls 5th from the spare trany and he used first cuz the syncros were better on the spare. he charged 180 for labor i think but def was under 200 for labor. And had it done in 3 days. And thats only cuz parts had to be mailed to him. I got quoted 2x that elsewere.
so i went to start the car the other day and bang it wont start. couldnt figure it out so i was goin down the line of possible problems so i goto check to see if its getting spark and this is what i found
all 4 cylynders were filled with oil
this was the cause plus the bolts holding the valve cover were loose. the valve cover gasket had a chunk missing from it
so i got all new plugs and valve cover gaskets and new spark plug wires
so after replaicing all that she still wouldnt start. i would turn the key and no fuel pump. so i checked the relays and fuses all were good so i dropped the gas tank to get to the pump.
so pulled the pump out and this is what i found
so since i was in there i replaced all the gas lines with new gas lines
also made note that it was realy a walbro in there
