Thursday, I walked out of Home Depot to find my poor G2 riding a Green Wave. Around a gallon of antifreeze as basking in the sun near the front end of my car…
I started the engine and it ran fine, maybe a little warm, but the temp didn’t climb, so I drove the 2 miles back to my house and garaged it.
I have 96K on it, I think it has the stock water pump and timing belt… I haven’t ever changed the fluids. I bought the car in May of 2000.
I ordered a water pump from the Local Acura Dealerships, along with new radiator hoses.
So hopefully the parts will be here today, and I’ll be able to swap everything out…
I’m guessing that the problem thursday was merely a buildup in pressure that persuaded the relief valve to free a gallon or so of coolant, and that replacing it will fix any problems.
Does anyone think that I might have bigger problems??
