my back-end is creaking!! Help!!

There is a rather loud creaking sound coming from the back-right of my 92 Integra when I make turns. I have had it checked out and they said that they couldn’t locate the problem. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, and if so…what was done to fix it.

If you have a stock sway bar then nothing to worry about. But if you changed it, did you lube it up.

Otherwise, it is your hatch. put some white lithium grease on your rubber stoppers on your trunk. (open your hatch, you will see a couple of rubber stoppers. One of them pop out; I popped it out and put some grease on the contact to the hatch) I also put some grease on the latch. Problem gone, been a year now, no problems.
Good luck…let me know whatz up

I currently have the same problem…when I went to get my front axle replaced (CV problems) I asked Midas to look at my rear suspension, they showed me the rear lower control arm bushings all torn up. RcnAcura recommended I grease them up real good, as a temporary fix. It worked! (Thanks Rcn!) Well, 50% of it, anyways. At least I have an idea that it’s a cause - until I get that bushing replaced, I think I’ll continue to hear that irritating (and embarassing) creaking sound. Check it out, maybe you’re having the same problems.

try and wrap some electrical tape around the little metal loop that holds the hatch down… somehow it holds it tighter and made my hatch quite

Yah… try this before anything else. It solved my creaking problem…

If it doesn’t fix, then try the other solutions… but this one is definately a first-try.
