my db1 project

oh yea i know, i went to 3 years of school for auto body collision and refinishing…and yea im not a fan of black moldings and handles, my skirts and lip are black so thats enough accent for me with the hood

well shes at the shop, i asked the owner to take pics as work is done…gonna do something different too with my hood…i know ill like it but its definitely not for everyone

shop told me car is apart, and my hood idea is done already…also i bought the integra jdm green third brake light from truda9

well thanks to craigslist i made another late night run, got my obd1 altenator for my swap, a skunk2 composite fuel rail, and a b18c1 block…on to the pics

thats it for now, it was an impulse buy as i didnt wanna pass up a good deal!

Does the block have a crank that came with it? Unless the crank caps and pistons were numbered, it would be a really good idea to take it to the machine shop and get everything rounded back out fresh again… if you start mixing up piston rods on your crank you may face spinning bearings and having to get it all torn back apart and fixed again. also look into getting your crank re-spun too.

didnt come with a crank, but the caps match, plus im not sure if youve read into it at all, i am not using stock rods, pistons, or bearings, possibly even aftermarket crank…im going FULLY built…if it comes aftermarket this motor will have it…only thing that will be left stock is the block and head itself, everything else is being upgraded

If you want to go 2.0L, I’m assuming you know you gotta sleeve it…

But yes, once all the parts are bought… Give the block/rods/pistons/crank/girdle/bearings to the machine shop and get everything balanced and freshened up.

I’m sure you know this all but yeah, just making sure lol.

yea, i go to school for performance automotive and tuning, and i work at a shop called black sun motorsports…i know just a lil bit about cars haha

be careful of forged cranks… thats probly the one piece id keep stock just balanced and micropolished

yea i just gotta find a stock crank…how do u guys feel about eliminating the oil squirters with the build im doing?

i have a manley forged crank in the evo, HATE it

forged pistons create less heat resulting in not needing the squirters…

plus itll keep more pressure on the bearings and have better vtec engagement

aaaw man you bought that from james… dammit lol i wanted that

haha yep i win…also got scored a personal box too

thats whats up…

im a self made millionaire :jerkoff:

lol ima baller on a budget good enough for me for now

im just kidding, im a disabled veteran and i go to school, so i get paid army retirement, and i get 1200 a month for attending school, and then i have a job at a shop paying cash under the table, and i hustle retards in my city on an average of another 5-8 a week lol

got some more updates, all body work is complete, the hood is done the way i want it, tomorrow disassemble everything and spray primer! woot woot. also bought a few more things

Whaaaat? :stuck_out_tongue:

Many people delete the oil squirrels… Anyone who runs a stroker-kit has to delete them.

GE make plugs to remove them.

With the oil-ring on the aftermarket piston, that will serve as a cooling agent because the oil will be squeezed through the holes… thus cooling the piston and wrist pin.
