Tell me what you guys think. I’m shooting for 600whp. The b18c1 block has golden eagle new design sleeves, cp 9.1 comp, eagle 900hp rods, type r oil pump, arp head studs, the gsr head has port flow dual valve springs, ferrea valves, jg victor x intake manifold. Thats what I have so far on the motor. The motor should be going in the car this weekend all motor for now until broken in. I havent saved just enough for my turbo setup yet. -Marvin

what bore is that? 82mm? 600WHP is quite a bit… what is your drivetrain setup? What times will you be shooting for?
It’s a 84mm bore. I’m shooting atleast mid to low 11’s.

Whats done to the rest of the car to be able to put that power to the ground?
The car right now is stock. It has skunk 2 coil overs w/ koni adjustable yellows. The list of other goodies on the motor is: LS ys1 transmission (I want a gsr ys1) w/ quiafe lsd, act street lite 12.5lb flywheel, act extreme pressure plate, act 6 puck disk, GSR block bored to 84mm, golden eagle sleeves (new design),cp 9.1 comp pistons, type r oil pump & water pump, GSR head w/ port flow dual valve springs, ferrea valves, head P&P, JG victor x, type r throttle body. The turbo i want to go with is a precesion SC61 w/ a love fab mini manifold, 3" downpipe, Precision intercooler. The fuel management S200b hondata. I’ve seen civic hatches run 10’s and they have around 600 whp. In our cars it’s alot harder because of weight. So 11’s would be fine for me.
mind me asking how much the shortblock cost you?
The shortblock, I would not know how much it cost me because I just paid my builder paycheck after paycheck. I spend total on everything that I mostly listed was about a lil bit over $5000. Thats including labor, excluding the turbo stuff and fuel management. It took me 14 months to piece everything up. I’ve been dying waiting to get my g2 up. I’ll post up more pics.
wouldnt you want a longer gearing trans if your going turbo? i would think if not you’ll be flying threw the gears on a gsr ys1 with all that power. also you’ll get a better top end speed. am i correct?

600 hp and running 11’s? thats a bit low, seen civics only dyno around 400-500 running 10’s and thats with a full interior

Looks like itll make some power, although i could go on a long ass rant on why those sleeves suck.

Thanks for all of your guys is replies. So far I got the motor back in the car and tonight I’m going to plug everything back in. Hopefully I can get it started tonight. I know alot of turbo people talk about the ls and gsr trannies about the longer and shorter gears and stuff like that. I got stuck with the ls because thats all I have for now, but since I have the LS I’m gonna have more topend. I’ll keep you guys posted on the car and I’ll post up pics when I get the chance.
do you by chance have any pics for these 900hp eagle rods? I thought the only rod able to withstand that kinda power are the carillo or saenz rods.

UPDATE Got the car started lastnight. I cranked it about 6 times to get the oil circulated and the motor started right up, first try. The check engine light came on and it throws a code 13 and code 22. Atmosphere pressure and vtec malfunction. Still trying to fix those problems right now. I already have 150 miles on it so I can get a properly breakin. I still have 850 miles to go. I’m not taking on any chances to beat the motor without breaking it in first. The new clutch and fly wheel feels awesome, it grabs instantly. I’ll keep you guys updated. I’ll have pics up soon once I find a digital camera.

I’m still piecing up my turbo kit. I’m going with the lovefab mini me manifold, precision sc61, presicion 1000cc injectors, hondata 200b, tial 44mm wastegate, greddy type rs bov, and I dont know what intercooler to get yet. Just to let you know I hate my ls tranny.Even with boost it feels like it laggs a lot more than a vtec tranny.Not too bad but if you get a good price get another tranny in there.
