back from the dead did u ever get around to cutting out the shock towers and pictures if you did. what for front camber kit you running
pretty obvious his roads are shitty too lol. care to make dimensions of your skid plate before you have it installed? car still looking sexy…while parked haha
well done!
y dont read the post its only 3 pages long
not to mention its right in teh first post smh
great dedication… arent you glad you never gave up? its amazing seeing the progress of this car, especially since i’ve only ever seen it when it was done (in other threads) - btw what year accord is that front lip from?
Oh wow, I completely forgot about this thread hahaha… thanks for the comments guys!
I did come around to cutting the shock towers, but no pics jus yet. Im on my stock control arms.
No one was willing to fab a complete under engine skid plate, so I had one of my boys weld a 1/4in plate, underneath my pan. NO leaks whatsoever, so I can say the plate is a success so far.
The front lip is from a 90-91 accord.
so… so far, The new things I have done to the car: skid plate, cut towers, window visors, and im currently re doing the interior to GS-R spec.
Im also “rejuvenating” the paint
I will try my best to keep this thread updated.
dude… Awesome story man… I have a story kinda like that too… It’s my second time around doing an ls vtec setup. I actually get my car back from the tuner this week sometime. Any ways how much compression were you running for your all motor setup? I know you were running CTR pistons but I’m not sure what compression. Also what bore was your motor at? Stock bore? That’s a hella sweet ride for sure.
wow… I suck at this.
I will be posting pics as soon as I get home tonight. The car currently is on steelies, and sanded down ready for paint. This time around im going to be sending it to a shop to get a legitimate paint job. The color im choosing is plum crazy off the challenger.
Newer parts are: Front bumper cover, L and R fenders, and the GS-R interior the homie hooked me up with, mugen rep sideskirts I got from Herb, and a JDP OE style lip John is making for me. Currently waiting for a set of works to come in from Japan also… its taking forever -___-
If anyone has a perfect condition 92-93 rear bumper cover that they’re willing to ship… please lmk.
love your car, didnt know i could rock a 90-91 accord lip till i saw your teg, totally love it
Yeah I didnt know I could either, till I tried. took some time to get it on as perfect as I could… but its on there
thanks!
updates?!?! pics?!?!
I second the above post as well. And any tips on how you created that skid plate? im assume to cover your oil pan, headers, transmission case. Spill it! Dumpedstarz…
I had pics!!! buuuuuuut, my camera is in the car… and my car is in shop getting painted. My car wont be done till wed or thurs, according to the painter. I’ll be posting pics as soon as I get the car back, before and after shots to be exact. I PROMISE WITH ALL MY LITTO HEART
How do you know this? Why are you stalking me?.. kidding
My boy was only able to cut up and weld a 1/4in steel square plate to the jus the pan itself. Once I get my car back on the road, Ill be speaking to him again about doing a whole undercarriage piece for me. We’ll see what goes down from there.
Ill keep this thread updated as much as possible.
you got any vids?
Bump for a fellow Vegas DA owner! I think I got a little screwed on my DA too; Craigslists is the marketplace for shady people. We should meet up sometime!
Zach.
got screwed on my teg when i bought it too, lots of problems.
steering rack, master cylinder (both replaced), oil pan plug stripped (going to weld a nut to it), and a bunch more minor stuff that I’ve fixed.
plus lots of body damage that i didn’t even fkn see at night when i looked at the car.
so much body damage that the car may as well be scrapped.
LF fender broken under the DOHC molding, rocker panels trashed.
radiator support bent so the headlights are crooked.
I can work on my engine myself for the most part, interior is fine, but the rest of the car is dinged and dented to shit so i just sand & hit it with spray paint wherever i see the horrible paint job peeling, or a new ding from the asshole neighbors.
still my car and i love it, there’s just no chance in hell that i will ever put any serious money into it at this point.
better off starting with a fresh car.
until then I just plan to drive it till it dies , which may be a while because the engine is proving to be rock solid and I keep it maintained.
I still get compliments every time I drive someone in my car, may not look like much on the outside but it rides nice and has plenty of power.
your car looks great, not done to my tastes but i can appreciate it and the time you’ve put into it.
love to see updated pics.
Vids? of the car on the dyno? rolling?

Cant always keep everyone happy
glad to see im not the only who got fucked over, at least we find success out of it. Good luck with your current car, and future build!
I got somewhat fucked over when I recently purchased my DB2 as well. Not as bad as you did, but definitely quite a few little problems that add up that the seller didn’t mention when selling the car. It broke down on me 2 days after I bought it. Finally got it up and running after 2 months of it sitting in my garage. It definitely feels good conquering those issues, and being successful doing it.
Props on sticking with the car, and good luck on the rest of your build. I’ll be checking in to see the progress.
