Ok, well i throwing in a short shifter and the shift linkage where it hooks up to the tranny, the bolt is stripped. To fit some better tools, i need to take the bar that runs from the front of the car from about under the radiator to about the back of the engine. Really strong bar, looks like it’s a kinda skid plate kinda thing. Would it be safe to remove it. Just to get to the bolt??? Need help fast!!!
HERE TO THE RESCUe, hope this is soon enough bro, yeah mane get rid of that bar, mine is still off, i took it off to install my header.
i plan to put it on sometime, dont have time lately , yeah its ilke 4 bolts take it out of the way, its only there to protect if your car slams in a curb, not to scrath downpipe and all. ne help im me

Big bushing goes on one of the ends that attaches to the tranny. You may have to use a press or vice and a combination of sockets to get the old one out and the new one in.
well i didnt put it there, i put it on the short shifter cuz at the time i didnt have a clue where it went, lol, so i guess the original one will be fine
