Need Help Taking Apart

Hey whats up you guys… i’m having some trouble taking my tranny apart i mean i got it out and every thing but i wanna look inside it… i’ve taken EVER SINGLE SCREW i could see on the tranny lol but it seems to be stuck on something… weird but if you have any tips for me please feel free to IM AIM: LLaoz Stylez or reply to this post…

you’ll never get it off just tugging on it like that. there is a snap ring that holds the countershaft to the transmission housing.

read the helms manual… i’d never taken a tranny apart before, i read the helms and it went great. oh, and remember when you try to put the tranny case back on make sure you have it shifted into 4th…it’ll go on much easier that way.

good luck

oh sweet thanks man but wheres this pin?? any1 else…??/ comon help me out here lol some guy is willing to trade me b16 internals for my 5th gear so i wanna get this off asap…

There is a “plug screw”, it is either some sort of hex or square head on it. You undo that, then you will see the ring in there, you have to squeeze the ring and extract it from the hole/groove.

its not a pin…its a “snap ring” really, do like i said and get the manual. we could tell you the jist of what needs to be done, but the manual will tell you EXACTLY what needs to be done and even has pictures…you’re just wasting your time by asking us because a much more thorough answer is located in the manual.

:werd:

You shouldnt be taking your tranny apart unless you have a manual there anywhere, for torque specs AT LEAST.

im just taking it apart for fun i got a new tranny already im just taking it apart to see how the hell these things work and theres one dude that wants to trade my internals for his b16 internals…
