ok, well the guy i bought my car from put a cheap $40 ebay exhaust (LINK) and i want to save up for a new one but im not sure what to get. i was looking at the greddy ti-c exhaust but saw a couple vids and seemed pretty loud. i also like the greddy sp2 because it is not a canister style. any recommendations? and im about to turn 16 and get a job so i dont want to spend a ton but still get quality. also, is there any way i can just get the muffler and use all my old piping, or would i have to get everything?
I would suggest something from a reputable company(greddy, HKS, Tanabe, etc) These may be more expensive, but you will not be disappointed!!!
Also I would get a cat-back exhaust which would replace all the piping from the cat back LOL!!
you may also want to look into local muffler shops that might make you a custom exhaust the way you want. although they tend to not be very good quality due to poor welds, poor bends, etc. But you may find them to be cheaper and well reputable in your area!!
i was hoping to leave everything there, in there. but a cat back exhaust (greddy sp2) would be nice. could i get a cat-back exhaust and then take out the cat-back before it and replace it with piping? do you know what i mean?
oh, and how would i do the greddy sp2 for a 4 door? is it the same as the 2 door? it says “Acura Integra LS/RS/GS 1990-93 (2 dr) muffler sideways”. thats all i see for 90-93 integra
I’m not sure on the SP2 for a 4door?? but you maybe able to get an extension from greddy??
Regarding your question, you want to replace all the piping from the catalytic converter?? or what??? a cat-back exhaust replaces all the piping the cat back to the bumper. this include piping and muffler, tip, etc. or you can just replace the muffler if you so desire!!
i realize that the cat-exhaust gets rid of the cat, and it would be great to do this, but depending on what prices i get i might go with a regular exhaust. i was looking at the vibrant exhaust, but it seems very loud in a couple of youtube vids, anyone have experience with this exhaust? heres a link (LINKY)
Ive never heard of a Cat-exaust that includes a new cat, only a catback that uses the stock cat.

If its for a DB teg then you will probably have to go to the exhaust shop and have them bend you up some pipe. Not sure that there are many exhausts out there made for the DB. Anywho I have a Skunk2 and its loud enough for me but doesn’t piss other people off. I love it
sorry guys, i worded that horribly and i think i confused myself. i wouold like to get something that i wont have to go back and change out all my other piping, so pretty much just a new muffler so i can get a better sound. i dont have the money to get the whole thing (piping and all). i like the vibrant exhaust though, looks good, sounds good in videos (it would probably sound better in person), and its not too expensive
and i pretty much meant what LsTeggy described about how it gets rid of the cat and stuff before it
