Thanks but I didnt want to run the risk of hazing the lenses…so I did it this way to be on the safe side
yer DA is lookin good! i just did the taillight trick too and it came out so fresh! only took like 30 sec each taillight to rinse it out! keep up the good work!
Just don’t leave the stuff in longer than like 5 min, turned my white lines a nasty yellow in one light.
I only swished them around for only a couple min or so
finally got another update here…just added some SI rims to the car and I gotta say looks way better now then with the stock rims lol
here is a pic of the car washed with the rims.
but i also have another problem that i noticed. Both driver and passenger windows dont align properly to the trim of the car…could it just be the windows need adjusting or do i need to replace the window trimming?
Driver side:
passenger side:
Your car is very shiny. Is that the original paint? Very nice. To answer your window question, I’m sure its just your window needs adjusting. Mine does the same thing “sometimes” . If you close it a certain way the window will tuck back underneath the rubber trim. Put your hand on the window instead of the door to push the door shut. Try that. I’ve been doing that and it doesn’t take much to do it. I’m too lazy to open up door panels to fix this.
Yea its original paint but has a lot of rock chips on the front end…but overall the paint still shines…ok I thought thats what needed to be done ill probably try messing with them on wednesday
yet another update on the DA9, Yesterday my friend (rwc91da) just added the side markers to my car and also added a sunroof visor. i gotta say it turned out pretty damn good.
here is the pic of the prep we did after the cut and the finish product. I will upload a video of lights in action, I didnt take a full length video of the procedure even tho i probably should have. We set it up by splicing into the corner parking/blinker light, so whenever I turn the lights on they stay on and when i put the blinker the blink, obviously right? lol
Prepping:
After cutting (added the paper for the sparks not to fuck up my paint:
and the final product:
i didnt take a pic of the visor but will do soon.
In regards to your windows. I’m willing to bet you guides are broken like mine were and you just need some adjusting. I took everything out of the door degreased/cleaned/regreased all the tracks and moving parts and put it all back together. Needless to say my windows feel like brand new and the new guides make the door feel so solid when you close it compared to how it felt before it’s crazy. Best few hours I’ve spent on my car personally.
ok i will check it out when i can. thanks for the advice
