new tires - opinions

MrFatBooty- By cheater compound tires not doing well in the rain… is it due to the material or the tread design on the tires… I’m assuming that it’s the material you are talking about… I’m interested to know if you have a page that is quite as informative as you are on tires… thanks!

those azenis look tight as hell!! man and for 44 bucks a pop that’s a hell of a deal. anyone know how many miles (roughly) you can actually get out of them. 10? think i can get to the tire place and back home before they wear out? they look pretty solid. let me know. see ya guys.

They’re useless in the rain though.

are they really that bad in the rain???

what about wider sizes like 205? Would you guys recommend it?

and I am also wondering how long azenis last?

I’m sure you could get a place to do it, but I wouldn’t recomend it on the stock wheels. Most places recommend anywhere from 175-195 for that wheel. You can fit 205s on the newer (94+) GS-R and SI 15" wheels but they are wider.

I ordered the Pirelli P7000 Supersports yesterday  i should get them in thursday or friday (2 day FedEx delivery was cheaper than UPS Ground)… i think it came to be $287.36 then 44 bucks to get them mounted and balanced at wal-mart… i have to pay $11 of it

let me know how you like them:)

when i get them installed i’ll make a thread and let everyone know how much i love them (i hope i will :))

I got a set of the Potenza RE910’s for $308. Had them about a year. Excellent tire. I researched them at www.tirerack.com. I would definately buy them again.
