New Tires

I have to buy new tires today(real soon). I have stock size I guess…it is a diff rim though.

Here is the best part I have 2 diff sizes on my tires.

185 65 14(front)
195 60 14 (rear)

My car is lowered not much but enough to look better. I am replacing the front 2…hoping to order em at lunch today.

The best deal I found with nice tread and everything are called Daytonas. I dont really know this tire but it is from a bridgestone/firestone/somthing else
company. Hope they are good. It is the daytona’s or some ugly all season fountain tire.

Anyone know about these Daytonas?

What should I do about size…I think I will go 195…but 60…or 65.
I am changing the back ones next month so I can make them the same finally.

The stock tire size is 195/60/14, so I would go with that. If you change the diameter, then you mess with your gearing, and spedometer. Probably not by much, I would try to make the size as close to stock as possible.

As far as Daytonas, I’ve never heard of them, but I’m not an expert in tires either.

If you have a 14"x5.5" wheel, go with a stock size of 195/60/14.

redstargsr has Daytona’s and they are basically just an economy tire to my knowledge. You could always pick up a set of Falken Azenis in 195/60/14 for around $44 a piece. They stink in the winter though, and have a short tread life…but boy do they grip.

Ok here is the deal. These H rated tires I was looking at are dayton(daytona). But I am looking at a T rated tire by goodyear (rigaada)

The Goodyear one is $ bucks more but is a T in stead of an H rated. Here is the best part…it is not in the stock size. It is 195/65/14 ahhh so no 195/60/14

What should I do? I was thinking that it (goodyear) should be better then the DATON. The only other point is that the daton has more of a sport cut.

ratings:

P - 93 MPH
Q - 99 MPH
S - 112 MPH
T - 118 MPH
U - 124 MPH
H - 130 MPH
V - 149 MPH
W - 168 MPH
Y - 186 MPH
Z - 149+ MPH

if you’re never planning on going over 100MPH the T rating will be fine . . . . . if you are I would go with an H rating. Try to imagine what would happen if you were going 120MPH and your tires started to frag!

Ok I bought some fulda’s instead of cheaping out on them. Anyone else used fulda’s and know how they are? They cost alot more then I had but it worked out.

I thought I needed an alignment but once I got the new tires on the alignment seemed fine…and the wiggle/shaking I had when driving is now gone.

I am guessing that one of my old tires was in real bad shape.
