Nice, but BROWN?!?!

Ok guys, I need some help or at least some suggestions.

I’ve got a '90 Teg in (not REALLY sure of the color) a silvery/beige color with a dark brown interior:vomit: . Now, I don’t want to (completely) change the interior color; not just because it’s a LOT of freaking work but because it’s in near perfect condition.

My dilemma here is I bought it with NO floor mats & I don’t know about you but brown aftermarket mats are pretty impossible to come by unless you (me really) are willing to spend over $100 for custom made ones. :argh:

So, should I replace the carpet with tan (tan floor mats are easier to find) & paint some interior parts to match or does anyone know how to make my life easier & point me in the right direction to some brown mats. :bang:

Man, thanx SO much!!! That’s WAY better than the prices I’ve seen!!

Wood Grain: Yes? No?

With dark brown I’m looking for some suggestions on accents in the interior.

Now (ONLY) because it IS a brown :vomit: interior I was thinking of going with wood grain. NOT the dash kit, just the steering wheel, shift knob & e-brake handle

Yes? No?

I’m looking to compliment the interior, NOT contrast.

I’m open to all opinions & comments.

could you get a couple pictures of your inteiror, so we can see wat color it is and help you out more. ???

i so feel your pain. i almost didn’t buy my teg because of the ugly ass urban brown interior… It looks so crappy. I recommend using vinal paint. I re-did my entire interior and would do it again in a second. I accented some part with white but for the most part I used black.(dash, doors, pillars…etc.) It is not a fast or easy job… The more time you take in doing it the better it will come out… I don’t have any before shots but here is an after one…

Whoa!! Looks sweet!! I’m honestly gonna leave painting the interior as a LAST resort. Only 'cause like I said, I’m a little on the lazy side & your results look like it took a LOT of dedicated work.

Truth be told, if my teg had factory mats when I bought it I really wouldn’t bother but…I’ll consider it.

The exterior color of your car is “Honey Beige Metallic” and the interior is referred to as “Urban Brown”.

I use to have the same car man. I didn’t really mind the color, but it was kinda odd.

Yeah, I actually LIKE the exterior color (think it’ll look great with black rims) & the interior is in near MINT condition which is why I’m not too anxious to go for a color change. I just need floor mats & a VERY small hole in my driver’s seat re-upholstered.

I just don’t know how I can/should accent the interior: brushed aluminum, carbon fiber (to compliment black wheels & eventually black Altezzas) or wood grain.

Any suggestions?
