Nitrous Problem!!

i installed my ZEX kit a few days ago and im sorry to say that it isnt doing anything! the nitrous is being shot into the intake tube but it is making little to no power gain. coyuld the engine not be getting the extra fuel?? my poor poor motor wha tdo i do?

is the tank empty?

what else did u do to the fuel?

zex

the tank is filled all the way and the n2o is shooting into the intake. i can hear it and it isnt leaking either…im changing the fuel filter 2 morrow and im gunna install my fuel press regulator and air fuel ratio gauge also… could it be im getting shitty spark not enough fuel? the car runs real quick without the nitrous and i dont see any big problems…it misses a little bit at low rpms…anyone have an idea what it could be?why arent i getting nay power?

the zex kit runs off it’s own bottle pressure. it has to be FULL all the time. Also the bottle needs to warm to build pressure. but if you’ve already tried it, u obviously used some up. FILL it completely, get the bottle HOT somehow (heater), then try it. And please get rid of your “Supra” wing and altezza’s!!! but really wut were u thinking with the wing???

  1. The nitrous nozzle that sticks in your intake has a hole in it. Make sure this hole is pointing towards your throttle body or else the nitrous will be squirting the wrong way down the intake pipe and not towards the throttle body. Take the nozzle out, mark the end with a felt where the hole points and re-install so you know forsure that the nitrous is going exactly the right way.

    1. It could also be a failure with the TPS (throttle position sensor) wire. With the car’s engine OFF (turn radio and stereo off too so you can listen carefully) turn the ignition on, flip the switch to the nitrous and slowly engage the throttle to 100%. At around 95% you should hear a ‘click’. This click allows the nitrous to flow. If you don’t hear the click and the nitrous is armed, check the wire that runs from the ZEX box to the TPS wire.

    2. Make sure bottle pressure is around 1000- 1100psi as well, done with the bottle pressure gauge.

    Hope this helps!

Wait, this site is for 2nd gen integras years: 90-93, and you have a 94 gs-r. not to be mean or anything but theres a reason why this site caters to 90-93 integras, its because we’re more knowledgable bout those years instead of 94+ integras.

i have a g2 also!! i have a 90 Ls sitting in my driveway but someone hit me and it got a lil screwed up so i eneded up getting the 94 gsr…paid 6000 everything in perfect condition…i got my bottle refilled and i readjusted the nozzel and i went down to the 65 shot…i added the colder ngk non projected tip plugs. Do i NEED a bottle heater? i shot it today and the power feels a little better but nohting huge. i guess it is doing something cause i shot it in 3rd gear and beat a RSX type s. anyone know what a fair price on a nitrous gauge is? i dont have one yet but the speed shop was 50$ for a bottle gauge. nitrous is not as cheap as people think…
zex kit-450
plugs-20
purge valve-100
FpR-60
gauge-50
bottle heater-150- …830$!!! plug n play kit my ass

spoiler

by the way the spoiler looks just liek a type R and its pimp ill post a picture…altz are pretty gay on most cars but i got um for free and i think they look better than the stocks…

Purge Valve-, um not needed
FPR- if u got the crap B&M then u definitely wasted money, cuz it did absolutetly nothing for me.
Bottle heater- probably a good idea depending on where u live
Guage- good idea also

Nitrous isn’t wut the fast and furious makes it out to be so get over it. i wasn’t THAT impressed either when in had the ZEX. it’s not a turbo, but u should definitely feel it kick in.

yea i got the BM one but i havent put it on. probably was a waste of money but i wanna make sure im geting enough fuel to the engine. I live in miami and it NEVER gets cold here but i was told tat u need a bottle heater regardless or else the liquid nitrous sits on the bottom of the tank…
