Ok…when the car is cold… she drives fine… except… no vtec. This I understand…
What I don’t understand is… after the motors warms up… there is no power and I can feel hesitation while accelerating as the rpm climbs… like the clutch is slipping…but when it reaches the vtec engagement point… the car feels fine.
Also… upon hard acceleration…a big puff of black smoke shoots out the exhaust. There is constand black smut allover the back of the car… on the bumper, tail lights, rear spoiler.
Any suggestions?

do a compression/leakdown test, also when was the last time you did a full tuneup?

well…I haven’t done a tune up as yet. That will have to wait till thursday…
