oil leak...

Wzup fellas…i replaced my oil pan gasket today cause it was leaking this past weekend. actually, the oil pan was just loose but i decided to change the oil pan gasket anyway. to make a long story short. the car still leaks. not drastically but still leaks. its hard to tell where the leak is from cause everything under the car is black. i tried to clean it up the best i can but still cant tell where its comming from. is there anything that i should look at? I noticed under the cam seal there was some crud but i dont think thats where it could be from. This is leak really irritating any help would be most apprecitated. thanks

thanks alot boss…im gonna spray some degreaser on my engine to see if i can tell where the oil leak is comming from.

Wzup fellas…i think i found out where the oil is comming from. it was comming out of the front side of the oil pan (right next to the drivers side axle under the oil filter). I cleaned up the excess oil with a rag and out a healthy coat of RTV along the egde of the pan. i let my car sit at idle for about 15 min and turned it off with cardboard under the car and saw no drips. hopefully my oil leak is over with. later fellas.

Wzup fellas…i changed my oil pan gasket and put RTV around the pan edge and the car is still leaking. What other parts should I look at besides the head , valve cover gasket and cam seal? My uncle mentioned the oil pressure sender but i dont know where its located. any info is most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

yes those will leak and gather around the oil pan obviously cause gravity goes down :D. also ur front seals maybe blown. good luck if u need a timing belt change a shop usually offers a timing belt change and all front oil seals change

i think i can rule out the front seal cause i saw no oil build up on that side of the block and i had the timing belt changed at 106K mi (now having 110K+ mi). My dad and my uncle told me to check the oil pressure sender. So thats the next culprit i will look at. thanks for the help.

i wish i could help u but all my seals were blown including the valve cover gasket :D. i replaced the cam plug valve cover and spark plug seals then had the front cam seals done and timing belt by a shop cause the price was right for the time it took. good luck.
