Symptoms: Loss of considerable amount of oil over a period of 2000km-5000km…probably less.
If you find that the valve cover, head, & oil pan gaskets are in good condition, check the oil pressure switch which sits beside the oil filter. You’ll need a mirror and flashlight or else you’ll have to remove the driveaxles and oil pan to see where the problem is.
Cost to replace: $20Cdn.
Labour: $50Cdn.
