I just sold my G2 for a WRX… and HOLY SMOKES… Turbos kick A__!!! I wish I had put a turbo on my G2…
I underestimated what you could do with a turbo… and I’m fully enjoying myself now- (just wish honda would do oem turbos)

heck no… hope and pretty sure they never will! reliability is what honda is known for… which forced induction can’t give as well as N/A VTEC motors.
Nah, I hope Honda sticks with NA power for their street cars. They have enough success with Turbos (CART Series).

Oh, yeah, there was a Scooby at the autocross that my friend got to ride in. Nice car and handles really well for stock. You’ll have a lot of fun but there is a limit to AWD’s traction.
WRX, NICE! I’ve ridden along in an impreza rally cross car before and it was sswweeet! hope you have fun w/the scooby
doesnt honda make a turbo jet ski???
Yeah they do, it’s hella fast. It would have been badass if they made a VTEC jetski, but oh well.
someone told me they did. but i have no proof to back that up should be a good thing to research.

no offense… but that is ONLY what hondas are known for. I mean sure there are fast hondas, but thats really not the norm on the street.
I saw a Civic Si go wizzing by me full throttle yesterday, his car was twice as loud as my car with an external, and looked like he was standing still. **** looked like a big Huffy going by.
I love hondas dont get me wrong, but you have to admit, they dont have a huge reputation for speed on the streets.
I’m not trying to be an ass here, so if anyone wants to flame go ahead and make a fool out yourself.
VW bugs came with 48hp stock and can be recognized for some of the quickest imports to date. the reason i bring that up is i like being the underdog. it makes for a bigger rewarding feeling when u finally do win.

no argument here… that’s what i was saying actually. Hondas are known for reliability, that’s why i drive one. if i just wanted pure speed, i would definitely go forced induction, but i can’t risk the high maintenance.
and yes… i hate those LOUD civics at full throttle that take a year to get down the street

I’m not even going to try and start anything. BUT here in Cali, the norm is HONDA’s can hold their own. Sure there are RICEBOYZ everywhere, but to make a broad generalization like that isn’t right. If I generalized, every Eclipse I ever raced I blew their doors(which I have-even though not all were GSt’s), therefore ALL DSM’s are weak, that’s BS, so I would never say that.
As far as reliable Turbo/Honda’s are concerned, I agree you can’t just bolt-on, boost, and expect a long lasting life. But like anything, knowing the limits of what you got is going to make or break you. Personally, I don’t want to make 400hp, but 250-260 is fine. Therfore, moderate boost-like 10psi, and good tuning should allow me to reach my goal-Good power and reliability.
right where I come from here in CT 95% of hondas are just bolt on intake and cat back and think they’re gods gift to speed. it really irritates me.
and as far as turboed cars not being reliable, they are JUST as reliable as NA cars with the exception they have one more part that could go wrong, the turbo 
.But contrary to popular belief, they can be very reliable when done correctly.
that seems to be the impression that i’ve been under too matt…that they are just as realiable…and from what i would think and what others have told me…just gotta be a little more careful to replacing things on time and paying attention to any warning signs…
i’d love a faster car…but hey…i gotta start somewhere…right now…hoping this car will last me long enough…so down the road i can get a faster car…
and he is right…CT is full over stupid ass “riceboys” in their civics and integras doing just what he said…stomping on it…making silly bumble bee sounds that put so much strain on your ear it hurts…and not moving any farther ahead…just last night…was on the pike and watched a civic SI downshift…bang through that gear…and bang through the next gear…just to keep up w/ me (driving my friends GST cause he asked me if i wanna…how could i resist)…and i was barely even on the gas at all…same thing happened as i was leaving the pike w/ a honda accord…though…they almost pooped themselves when i blew the blow off next to them…watched their laughing…go to straight confusion and silence
