That teg above is a show car, and I’m sure a popular one at that. I bet it wins in it’s class. Jdm is a trend that has come and gone, and now the trend is oem and clean. How bout we recognize these are all just styles of mods, and stop saying it’s “rice” just because it is not trendy anymore…

Sorry, back in '95 I was all about MR5s and Schumachers. Before it was cool. I had my share of ricy interests but its been JDM for me since I was 15. Nice try though.
And JDM is not rice. JDM fags are rice. Those idiots at autodynamic and APC who pollute the market with cheap parts and call them JDM. Those people that sport fake shit and call it JDM. If you like the look then cool, you can’t afford the MF8s then that’s fine too. Rock the Rota centers and roll around proud. I’m just as guilty with my fake mugen side skirts admittedly.
You put a JDM part next to its american counterpart. Usually the USDM part is a blatant copy of its JDM bretheren… and nowhere near the quality. You get what you pay for. Period.
So, the answer isn’t JDM=rice. The answer is TRENDY JDM FAGS=RICE. Only you yourself know which side of that fence you’re on.
As for me, I’ll continue to buy quality parts for my cars, whether they’re made in Japan or Zimbabwe. It just so happens my taste and quality and fit requirement lead me to the Japanese islands most of the time.

hey, i’m not saying that teg is nice or “rice” or anything, is just the majority of the people here sometimes pisses me of, back in 2001 when i registered, only a handful of people here knows or even heard about jdm parts for the DA DB chassis…ok, maybe the 1 pieces, hell…i admit, before i joined this site, i dont even know there’s a 1 piece headlight assembly for my car, and yes i had a pair. now a days, its all about jdm this and that…and yes i hate those jdm nazi’s…

this thread is about the nicest teg, so if the guy that posted that teg thinks that the teg is nice, then let him, i only posted my opinion after i read some of the remarks…
The point of my post being that people who follow trends are the ones who define rice, whether that trend is JDM or fake VeilSide kits (about '94 maybe?) or flashy chrome wheels (the first form of rice in the early '90s). I hate the trendy JDMers as much as everyone else. I have, and always will, stay true to what I believe in when buying parts to put on my beloved vehicle(s).
It was not an attack on you, only your comments. My opinions of this car were not posted at all. There was a day when that car had a lot more fans than today, that is given. I can respect the amount of time and money that went into it, and that the owner is very proud of it. By its mere nature, this thread is open to interpretation, as what I believe to be the nicest G2 is not necessarily what others believe (as was witnessed earlier in the battle of pages 15-16). People post so that others can see, and comment, positive or negative. Some have good things to say, some have bad things that they keep to themselves, and some just type away at everything they can pick on. I just don’t like being stereotyped with all of the trendy JDM ricers like you did in your earlier post, and that accusation was all I was defending.
Now, once again, BACK TO THE CLEAN G2s. :werd:
