Chaky- Thanks man, it was always cherry… washed twice a week, waxed every other. The rims are 15" buddy clubs, and in the second pic theyr 15" atech finalspeeds originally purchased by Dustin (0071), passed down to my buddy mike, who traded them for my buddy clubs. When I sold the car the next owner sold them on craigslist, which another g2ic member picked up (jayracer I THINK).

14 GS-R’s on G2IC, shit I feel special. I think that there fewer GS-R’s than OEM rear visors, oem body kits, mugen DA rear spoiler and 16" 4x100 Mugen M7’s!
honestly it would be cool to find out how many are actually left driving. it seems like their are fewer and fewer. my old db2 is somewhere in sacramento.

my stepdad’s nephew has a 93 aztec DB that i want soooo bad it has 85k miles on it, all original and in perfect condition and when i say perfect i mean it looks like it was just made… wow for GSR’s
Little by little… the B17A1 which, IMO <-*** makes the 92-93 GS-R a “db2” are being replaced instead of being rebuilt. By next year… we’ll have a thread with the title of “post pics of DA’s that use to be DB’s”
its not just the motor that makes the car man…
very true jrod. however the motor is a very large asset. the no 3rd brake light in the rear glass or the gray cloth seats with red stitching or 8k tach in the dash or the the gsr spoiler with the brake light in it or the gsr badge underneath the passenger side tail light were all so special to me. and I loved the way she made me feel & the unbelievable sound when id fly by someone in vtec.

Exactly, see there was more to the b17. If it was all about the motor, you would damnwell know there would be something along the lines of a R motor in it.

J Rod- Gen2, I agree with both you. All those things that Gen2 mentioned are special.
I do believe that it’s more than just the engine,body or interior. It’s the whole package, or the “sum” as I like to call it. I’m not saying that swaping in a B18C5 or a B16B is bad thing, looking at it from a performance aspect. I’m all for extracting performance, but I try my best not to extract too much from the “sum”

I was under the impression that the DB2 was a DA9 was that was pulled off of the assempbly line and finished by hand. THAT is what makes it special…much like the Type R was a mostly hand built vehicle.
