db2… that rpm gauge is different than mine is it out of a g3…and is that a

i bought mine for 25 also but mine was only 2500. with 87xxx miles on it. now at 113xxx. my wife and i was driving in my 90 gs with b16a3 swap. (hence the SN name) and i seen it sitting at a transmission shop. i was like no way that was a real GS-R sitting there. i told her i am turning around and she was like “WHY”, so i had to educate here real quick on the history. so i get out and check it out. the place is already closed. so i come back the next day and talk to the shop manager. he thinks i am there to steal his business, cause i ask for the guys number. he said i will get your number and give it to him when we are done with the job. (lol). so the guy gives me a call saying he had a hard time trying to find the right transmission to go in it, (had busted bell housing and broken shift fork) he tells me he didn’t want to sell it but would for 3500. i said well thats a little steep for me right now. but i will pass on the word. i told all that would listen and no one was interested. so i had to tell him no. a couple of months go by and he was like i really need to sell it now and i will take 2500 for it so i sold my 90gs for 2200 and bought the best car i have ever owned. PERIOD.
my wife keeps saying why don’t you get a “newer” car. i have to keep reminding her the car is going nowhere. and i have replaced everything to be replaced and how much i love the car yada yada yada. anyways end of story. sorry for the long post but thats the way i ended with mine

Blk_92_GSR, it’s the XSi cluster and the engine is a B17A1 bored 40 over and stuffed with 11.4:1 Wiseco slugs. With a milled head and decked block I’m hoping to be up in the 12.xx:1 range. I had some bowl work done around the valve area to increase combustion volume which droped the estimated compression down a little.

BTW… what ever happen to the “Lets see your db2” thread… we had at least 50 gsr’s on that one… but that was about 2 years ago…there was a poll on it breaking down the diffent colors… white was just ahead of red.
db2, i’m in love with your car. :nana:
2 years later, there are only half as much. There is a B17A1 registry somewhere too. White is the color for me, I’ve had 12 white cars however not all was originally white. The 85 FB and 91 FC were my favorites and they were OEM white.
