please postur ls/vtec setups and e.t./dyno info

well i tried posting this on engine hybrids, but deleted it, and i’m assuming this is general enough for the gen discussion, so here is the post…

everyone who has completed an ls/vtec, could you please post what you have done, and what sort of results you have gained. the reason i ask this is because i am going to be assembling my ls/vtec, and want to know what i will need to do to get the results i want…

i have a old hoda tuning mag. with step by step pics and info with a dyno b4 and after. it had a b16 head and i/h base it pulled 140 and with the frank 189 hp the diff was at 5300 when vtec hit below that it lost 2-5 hp from 2300- 5000. i’ll try to scan the articles if i can.

Great place to see some setups! I was blown away by some of the numbers these people were putting down. Now given most of them were running Jun Stage 3 cams, but still 200+whp is impressive on an LS/VTEC.

I checked out ImportReview. They had a link to ImportBuilders.com and they had some interesting crate LS/VTEC motor packages. Anybody deal with them? Where are they located?

it seems that LS/VTEC cars even with the same mods as type R etc will product more HP… strange…

also i notice all the big boys used the ICE-MAN intake… =P i 'm going have to agree with them on that on ehehe…

also it looks like the main way for a non - vtec car to make power without going v-tec is either super boost or raise the compression.
