well i went out last night to the races won both of the races that i ran but when i was on my way home all my lights started to dim . i thought my alternator was bad but when i checked it out this mourning my belt slipped off the pulley . so i went out for a little bit today and i noticed my oil pressure gauge was going low 30 psi for oil pressure so i added a quart of oil so that i could get home and sure thing the fucking motor started to knock . which equals a spun rod bearing . i really am getting tired of this vtec shit and the turbo shit when i had just the nice 1.8 ls motor in there whith the nitrous it was fine no issues . now i am running a b16 with turbo i have had nothing but problems .anyways the cars that i ran last night was a 92 civic hatch with a built b18c1 with turbo running 8psi , and the other was a 93 hatch with an h22a .
were you at a track?
or were you being a dush and being a awsome cool STREETRACER!!!
if you were at the street races I show no pitty for you. All those gay ass street racers that risk everyones lives deserve to have there shit blow up.
If you were at the track its a different story.
Another thing, we DO NOT tolerate street racing here, so if you dont want to get your threads closed, or even you get banned, I wouldnt post about it no more. Again, this is if you were street racing.
are you using used blocks again and again? or are you building up the block before you put back the motor?
If you are reusing used blocks without prepping them, your situation shouldnt be a surprise. Keep in mind that used motors probably were not in the best condition in the first place. And to top that off with a turbo setup, it ust accelerates the deterioration of the engine.
Wil
no i wasn’t street racing i was driving home from the damn bowling alley when i spun the rod bearing . and as far as the block go they r fresh from japan. i have all the shit to build the motor i am just trying to get it set up so i have no down time while the black is being done .and sorry to let you know we do not endanger anybody elses life when racing it is in a area where there is no body for miles and the only people that are out there r the people that r racing or watching .
from what your profile says your teg isn’t even worth the time to take to the track. a little 145 horses . you can talk when you get some more power under the hood obx equals cheap garbage .what do you run a big 17.0 in a quarter 16.5 on a good day.
Fresh from japan, means they are already used up. have you seen those B16s that come from the engine places, theres already plenty of wear and tear on them. Dont expect them to hold boost forever, especially on old bearings.
you sir are an idiot. Re-read this quote " it is in a area where there is no body for miles and the only people that are out there r the people that r racing or watching" all those people including yourself are all the ones that you are putting at risk. You stupid street racers think your so cool. You guys are fuckin idiots.
better at a track is what i think if you do crash you getta run into a wall and there usually is a rescue crew and all instead of running into a crowd of people that you would get charged for vehicular manslature your choice though
HAHAHAHA oooo thanks for loooking in my profile, you win a big hug LOL
picking on me with my 145 of raw (non blown) power. And I asked if he was at the track not “do you want to race me at the track”. You admit you were out in the middle of noware, (not at a track) best idea iv ever heard, let me know where that is cuz id like to go there. and meet the neighbors that live a mile down the road
thanks for making me the ass of this thread
boosted teg : call either one of these numbers and let me know where you are going to be racing

The people that are there know what the risks are, just as you know what the risks are. You may not go to them but you have a brain and so do they. If someone wants to race not on a track doesnt make them a “fucking idiot”. It makes them a person with free will. You have the same ability to kill an innocent bystander driving down the road to a mcdonalds as you do street racing. You just have a better chance of killing yourself. Keep your opinions on that kind of stuff to yourself. I believe he was asking if he should get a different block instead of redoing a b16.
My opinion is to get a b20, build the block and boost the shit out of it.
“thank you clyde… now let’s get an answer from someone who isn’t a complete retard…”
umm rite
Actually, yes it does. The term “race track” means a place not on public roads where it’s much safer and more controlled and racing is welcomed. They don’t call them “race streets” or “race drives” or “race avenues”. It’s one of those common sense things that, sadly, disappears the more glue you sniff. Case in point–you!
well, seeing as how the cost of a b20 is usually the same as getting the block he currently has sleeved, maybe you should keep your shitty opinion with the little knowledge upon which it’s based to yourself. b20 sleeves are much more prone to cracking under boost, due to the less stocky design. far higher numbers can be achieved even on a stock-sleeve LS block with forged pistons and rods than can be achieved on a similarly built b20 block with stock sleeves. you, sir, are a nincompoop. go back to clubsi where folks like you belong. :ban:
Building the B20 would be a decent idea, but a B20 can’t handle boost worth the shit. Especially when compared to these B16’s he’s using.
hahahaha, these guys are fuckin dumb.
