White Starks FTW! Only thing Im not a fan of with starks is the universal 4 lug…i think it interferes with the cleanliness of the wheel.
yeah kinda weird… most people just hate them haha. but this is my 3rd set and the only ones ive ever found in 16 and 4x100 so i had to get them…

i look at it this way, if you have rota or drag (or any other rim maker out there that just makes replicas of other wheels) then they are not “bad ass”
they almost have the look, but they don’t have the quality. most “replica” wheels aren’t put together using the same forging methods and are often much weaker when it comes to durability. they aren’t as light, either. in most cases anyway.
the reason all of these SSR wheels, WORK wheels, SPOON wheels, Stark, Regamaster, Mugen, Gales, Sprint Hart, 5Zigen, Wedsport, etc. are considered “BAD ASS” are because they all have a large amount of R&D that went into their production. They are all notably stronger, because most of them are forged to the highest degree that they can.
Yes there are the occasional “bad apples” from the “big boys” as i mentioned above. The Mugen RN-R is a notoriously “flimsy” wheel, in SOME PEOPLES’ eyes.
Consider this, how many magazine COVER/FEATURE cars have you seen with ROTA/DRAG (or whatever “replica manufacturer”) on them? Then, point out all the cars that have a proper wheel maker on them.
We understand that MOST people aren’t trying to be show winners, magazine cars, etc. but please know that the knockoffs aren’t as good for racing either (note all the forging differences i mentioned earlier)
if you just want something that looks kind of nice while cruising around town, then that’s fine. but PLEASE KNOW THAT YOUR ROTAs etc AREN’T even close to being in the same league as one of the “heavy hitters” up there.
