I tried a search and came up empty. I have a 90 ls and I want to take the power windows out of my 92 ls and throw them in. I already took the panels off but I don’t want to f any thing up. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks

you have a 90 LS without power windows? didn’t know you could get that…
anyways, I’ve never done this, but if you’re taking the power windows out of one car and putting them in another, not much can go wrong if you really pay attention to how everything is put together on the '92 when you’re taking it apart. make diagrams if you need to to help you remember.
Also, check to see if the '90 has the wiring for the power windows or not. If it doesn’t, that’s going to mean quite a bit more work.

well i haev two power window regulators if you want to buy them cheap. Anyways… Well first on the 92 you need to pull the full wire harness to power window. Then pull the harness out of the doors. Then you have to pull it from the fuse box. Then transfer windows regulators, door panels and wiring harness over to the 90 LS. Then rewire back underdash, into fuse panel, and into the doors. Take your time it will take about a good 2 hours or so. Be patient. That’s all i can tell ya for the most part.
Also at acuraautomotiveparts.net You can buy new door harness that come equpiied with power window plugs. Just order them for a 92 LS with power windows available. Less work in the long run.

Don’t sell them… That’s too easy. Do the conversion. I have been meaning to do this also. I am fairly certain you could do this without using the power window controller, etc. You could likley just use a few relays and a window module from some crappy alarm.
I have been meaning to perfect this and write a nice G2!C how-to for everyone else. Why not help me out and help yourself at the same time?? I think I’m going to order the harnesses online – thanks for the tip.

Yes Japes You can. www.acuraautomotiveparts.net sell the wiring harnesses. I have both left and right window regulators. I’m selling 60 shipped, for both.
Few items you need:
Wiring Harness
window regulators
Door Panels w/ switch (OPtional)
Some spare time to install
Helm’s Wiring Diagram
You will also need some kind of controller. It is possible to design one yourself by using a ‘window-up’ module from an aftermarket alarm or another vehicle. The best way to do it, is to use the one in the master switch. That’s correct – the circuitry for the window controller is actually built into the driver’s side window switch housing. Now you know why that ‘Master Switch’ is so damn bulky… The pass switch is just that – a switch.

damn, now what do I do? I do want to have power windows again. Like I said my 92 ls had power windows, so having all the parts is not the problem. Its taking out the power window regulator and motor and swapping it without any hassel that is.

They have the door harness and other parts necessary to do the conversion. The dealer want a few hundred for the modules. and so do acura parts recyclers. The conversion isn’t that hard.
If anyone in the Toronto or surrounding area wants to hook up and work on this conversion, please let me know. The regulator bolts right up with no problems. The hardest part of the conversion is sourcing out the door panels… lol
You could always mount switches elsewhere and cover up the hole for the manual crank with some vinyl or a poorly-placed tweeter…
