precautions/help with "junkyard turbo"

wassap im new to this forum and im really thinking about going for a low boost setup on my automatic. the two main choices ive heard are the T3 from the SVO mustangs and the T25 from the 2gen eclipse. i kno for the DRAG manifold will take the T3 and an HKS with the T25. but are there any other combos out there? im not lookn for major boost, well not right now. but im just going to kick it around 5-6psi right now to be real safe. but any comments or ANYTHING would be really helpful.

I’m thinking of doing the same thing. I’m probably going to use a T3 turbo because they’re very common and if I want to switch to a T3/T4 later I can use the same manifold.

Hey, I just read like 2 seconds ago on honda-tech.com that the mitsu t25 doesn’t fit the hks manifold.

are you sure? because i kno the HKS kit they have for SI/GSR they use a T25 turbo. i hope it does fit so i can have some boost by spring

just go with the t3 turbo…you can get a manifold for it from MANY different places… I got my manifold for my t3 from South Florida Performance. unlike the cast manifolds that companies like DRAG make, South Florida Performance hand makes theirs out of steel. they also ask you whether or not you will be running an externale wastegate, so they can add a flange for it or not.
