Prob with oil temp

I have an LS-V and everything is vtec…oil pump, water pump…etc

I have a prob with my oil temp…it runs very hot…constant like 210 degrees local and 230 highway and when I go up hill for long period of time…it starts to get hotter to a point where I would stop my car to wait. My coolant temp is fine, but it will rise with the oil temp while goin up hill.

Thx
Ken

are you running your LS tranny?

there is a very big possability that i am wrong,
but if running a vtec tranny would mean that your revs are higher a lot of the time.

could the higher piston speeds have anything to do with this?

GSR and ITR B17A ,B18C1 and B18C5 come with stock oil cooler. What u can do is add a oil cooler. If u have after-market header, wrap it. That should cure ur problem. At least it works for me.

Cool, thx DNA…I was thinking of adding an oil cooler

BTW, what kinda cooler u get?

Thx,
Ken
