This build is so awesome, can’t wait to see what the exhaust looks like with the bumper on. I wanted to do something like this myself lol
Yeah i cant wait to see it either lol. I need to paint my bumper but have no place to do it since i moved. It sucks
Good build man…I normally don’t check out build threads, but yours is nice. Keep up the good work.
Ya, I know how that goes haha
Thanks VI Massive, im glad your liking it.
sold my teg awhile ago.come back to this site just to check your thread.great work man.really
wow thats a hell of a compliment captainda9 hopefully ill keep ya coming back for more!
Been a while but just thought id let ya know im hopefully gonna start working on the teg again since spring is around the corner, picked up some simple 17" rims to get me by this summer while i get other things done just gonna paint them black and throw them on. Other than that still slow going right now, thing is stuck in the tiny garage waiting to roll out
So im getting a few things prepaired for paint, rear bumper, side skirts and hood.
So since im using modifyed EK side skirts i want a rear valence that perfectly blended in with the side skirts to give the car a factory look with matching pieces.
I want the mugen rear valances for the civic and modify them but they are rare and pricey.
I decided to go to the junkyard and pick up another set of ek side skirts and cut the ends off to mold them into rear pieces that prefectly blend in to the side skirts since they are indentical, here is my progress so far . Got them mocked up but plan on taking some heat to them to curve them slightly
tt
So i was wondering if anyone knew the thread sizes for the power steering lines that connect to the rack itself? i dont need the high pressure hose thread but the other 3.
Any info would be great
Awesome!! Cant wait to see how the bumper turns out!
I can’t wait to do a project with the Da or a Db
couple photos , been along time since any updates as the car just sat for a long while. Finally got it running and it should be road ready in 2 weeks
updates
well not to much. last year ive been bouncing around moving but finally moved to a permanent place this past october. Now that i got everything setup in the garage and its warmer i started working on it again.
When i moved in october i took it on its maiden voyage , a 6 mile drive from my last residence to my new place.
Had to be followed and for whatever reason i could not get the brakes to work correctly, no matter how many times i bled them the car would never stop fully with the foot brake and i had to use both the foot brake and handbrake to get home.
I noticed a couple leaks at the banjo bolts on the brake lines at the master cylinder and just yesterday replaced the crush washers and hoping for a better seal as this may be a reason i couldnt get all the air out of the lines.
Other than that i just need to prep my rear bumper, hood side skirts and rear valences for paint and i should be all set to go.
However i get married in 2 weeks and have had really no time to work on the car so hopefully in the next month i can get it all painted and finished.
