Project: Long Time Coming is finally making its appearence!!!!

awesome, thanks man, that helps out alot.

no problem man, I actually found that doing a google image search lol. I hope that helps. if you do need additional pictures i can help you out. My motor is all stock currently.

some pics with the alternator mounted

got the new radiator and fans and all my AN fittings and hose for fuel and oil

Got my oil relocation kit mounted, i wanted the cleanest looking way to mount it without running hoses everywhere so i decided to run it through the old heater grommet through the firewall and from there ran it back out the old engine bay harness grommet but i have yet to make a grommet for that part yet. heres a couple pics, also with mouting it were its at im able to but a small container underneath it so when doing the oil changes i wont spill oil over the bay when changing the filter

How is the light output at night with the retro fit? Have you tested?

Light output looks good, i have only had it shining from were the car sits , but theres no glare and the light is where it should be

got some more parts painted and cleared…

also got my new throw out bearing, (4) AN bungs to weld to the radiator and engine and also the fuel pressure regulator

sweet

awesome as always man! i always look forward to your updates. looking sick!

Wow. seems like you have put an extreme amount of time on your build. definetely not my style, however it doesn’t mean I can’t compliment on someones work. Hopefuly you’ll be happy with the finished product. Keep up the good work it’ll pay off when you’re done.

Most people bag on someones work when they don’t like or dissagre with it. It’s very irresponsible to do that. People should compliment others hard work regardless if they like it or not. That’s up to the owner of the car to decide that. As for me, like I said before, I am not a big fan of some of the things that have been done to the car, but I can certainly aprecciate the hard work you put into it because I know it’s not ease to do, regardless of how you decide to build your car. Don’t let anyone disscourage you from what you do best. If this is what you like to do, then do it, but do it for you. I’ can’t wait to see the finished project. Best of luck to ya.

I appreciate all the kind words. What dont you like ? the wheels ? lol everyone else dont like em and im not a big fan either. Either way glad you like the work i put in , i know its not everyones cup off tea but oh well right lol.

Thanks again my peeps

As long as you like it ,that’s all that matters right ? By the way I have a question 4 you. What are your future plans with this project, what i mean is what’s the finished product gonna look like and what is the teg gonna be used for ? Show, race , daily, am just curious to know, you don’t have to give me an answer if you don’t want to, i’ll understand.

I like it , i was just curious on what other people didnt like about it.

The car will be a semi show car but a daily driver.

The finished product will be what you see with basically full tuck probably 16 or 17 inch wheels , and basic lip kit all around just to give it a lower stance without lowering the thing so that its not scraping on everything.

I basically wanted to build it to be better than new looking and no rust or imperfections that a 20 year old car would have. but i want it simple yet unique, I will never sell the car so i want it to be done right.

But i will be throwing a turbo on once everything else is done

i love it, its going to turn out awesome! i was going for the same thing, a daily driver that would be for partial show. Basically i just wanted to build a car that was modified from stock and made to look a little more modern but kept very clean. After the car sat in the garage for 8-9 years being used as a shelf a lot of the ideas and things i wanted to do changed because i really needed a DD car on the road asap, so i threw it together as quick as possible and i have been making minor upgrades and changes when i have the time and money. The car will only be driven in the spring/summer/fall months so durring the winters i can make upgrades every year. I cant wait to see your car come together, i might even take a road trip when your done to come see it in person i like it so much lol.

yeah man winter blows and cant wait to move out west so i can drive it all year, but if you ever come out this way let me know, may have to wait till next spring though lol.

yeah it looks like you have some work ahead of you still lol

front suspension is done except re-painting the coilovers EBP to match. but got all the new bolts in and powder coated black to match the suspension.

wired up the new harness for the door and installed the rear harness which was also re-done and all mounted using push zip-ties directly into the body and also got the powder coated pedals installed.[/QUOTE]

how do you feel about the style of adjustable camber kit you have? i just bought some lowering springs and need to buy a set. Do they do the job well? i am dropping to a set hight of about 2.25" lower. with 17" X 7.5" rims

honestly i didnt like mine because they made the upper control arm rub, i got mine off ebay.

But i realized that with 17 or 18’s and not dropping it as low as it can go that you wont even need a camber kit, it may be a tad off but i would lower your first where you want it and then decide if you actually need to spend the money on it

Cool man thanks for the info. I was looking at that style or the more expensive skunk 2. Arms with adjustable camber. If i can get away with stock that would be awesome. The shocks i bought are designed for use with factory shocks. Hope it works out.
