Thanks again everyone. So im having a slight problem right now, i try to start the car but when i do the starter engages and touches the flywheel but doesnt actually turn it. I reran a ground ( 0 gauge ) to the trans and also ran one directly to the battery and even had a nice battery charger with a start feature so i know its not the battery but still it engages but no turning.
So not sure what to do.
BAD starter?
Needs more grounds to the engine?
anyone have any clue?
I dont have any money right now to get a new starter to test it but hopefully you guys have some input
i would def check your grounds and perhaps add more but to clear up one thing did you also have a new fully charged battery connected as well as the charger set to jump? i know that there is also a lot of other grounding wires. like from the head to the front rail? sounds like your not getting enough amps to the starter. another option is taking the starter to advanced auto and having it tested. I think they test them in house for free. other than that im not really sure.
No unfotunately its getting cold and the car will be stored until next spring. I just moved to a new home and no longer have the garage space i need to be able to finish the car during the winter here. So until next spring i probably wont have any updates unless just some minor things that i can complete inside my house.
Hey guys , havent been on in forever as the car is stored for winter but i decided with the few 50 degree days in michigan to do a few projects on it that i can do indoors. No pics yet but currently working on some custom led front turn signals and also will be fabricating some aluminum plates for the firewall where my fuel lines and brake lines come through to guarantee no leaks and great looks since they obviously dont make grommets for those things.
Nothing big but when i get some pics i will share with you all
Awesome man as always, can’t wait to see what you are up too. I have been forced to drive my beloved car in the winter. Luckily in upstate ny we haven’t had shit for snow yet! But they love salting the roads here so that sucks a ton!
the start of my 3 aluminum pieces that will allow for the an fuel lines and brake lines to come through the fire wall and have no leak for water to get inside the car.
thanks, im glad someone likes it lol. I still have to make a few more to replace the rubber grommets that dont seal since i re-did the wiring harness other things that dont fit well
Its been a while since i posted any updates but heres a small one for ya. Got my custom led bumper lights all done. 1 row of white running lights and one row of amber lights for the turn signals
Heres my custom made aluminum black anodized ipad mount (backing not pictured) that i will be able to flush mount and still slide the ipad in and out. Made it at work
