I got a “HONDA” emblem from the junk yard, I am planning to replace my “ACURA” emblem. What would I use to restick the emblem on? I removed all the old sticky glue already. Is there some kind of double sided tape?

Yup i used 3M as well but it said it was for the side mouldings. Bought it at autozone. It’s been 4-5 months already and it’s still stuck there pretty good.
yup, 3m double sided tape… but not the thin stuff. The stuff we’re talking about is about 1/16" thick, and is grey in color (but has red backing).
3m used to only make this stuff in a clear form… which held up really well, but was a pain in the ass to work with. The new grey stuff is a bit more foamy and cuts very well.
this tape is very good quality. I’ve had my rear emblems stuck on with the clear stuff for close to 2 years now and its holding up just fine. I’m currently using the gray tape on the H emblem in the rear, and its also holding up well (the gray tape actually has a higher weight rating… like it matters).
You might want to think again about putting that “honda” badge on the back. I don’t think they made any “honda” badges that match the same style of our bading. All the “honda” badges i’ve seen have chrome letters but a black background, whereas our badges don’t have a background at all. personally I just think it might look a little outta place since it doesn’t match.
Well I was planning to change the “ACURA” emblem because I have 1991 Prelude Si Rims on my car. So I don’t want “ACURA” on my car anymore.
If I put the “HONDA” emblem on the left side of the hatch, and a “INTEGRA” emblem on the right side, I agree it would not match. What do you guys think I should do?
I think I am going to put “HONDA” on the left and something else on the right side. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
i say keep it stock till you have the money to eventually just shave them all off. thats what i’m gonna do. I took of my front “A” emblem completely, replaced the rear “A” w/ an “H” off of my old accord and the rest of the rear ones are stock. In a year or two i’m gonna start reparing all the little dings and dents in my car, I’m gonna shave all the emblems and the spoiler holes at the same time.

Do you have holes where your front “A” emblem was? You have it saying “ACURA” with an “H” on the rear? Doesn’t that look strange? Just wondering.

didn’t our front emblem have a background? like a carbon fiber type of background that came stock on most integs?
1990JGMInteg: Yes, there are holes in the hood from the front emblem. But there is also a small dent there from the previous owner. So, i don’t think its really making the car look any worse… from a distance it looks much better actually.
yeah, it looks sorta outta place, but most of the time you don’t really even realize that it says “acura” there… i’ve even gotten a couple tickets here at my school, and they always list it as: “Make: Honda” so, i guess other people don’t notice either.
pretty much i just think that “A” emblems look like crap, for some reason i just don’t like 'em. The “H” looks awesome though.
It doesn’t bother me much, basically just because i know its just temporary.
SOL1D: I was refering only to the rear badges, the words in particular. If you start paying attention you’ll notice that our cars are the only ones out there that don’t have the black background. I’ve been checking it out to see if I can pick up a matching “HONDA” badge. And thus far i’ve seen nothing.

I think I am going to put the “HONDA” emblem on the left and find an “integra” emblem for the right side. I don’t think this will look too bad.
NGEN: were you parked at UCSD a couple weeks back? I saw a white G2 here with “Honda” and “H” badges. as well as painted moldings.

THERE A COUPLE DIFFERENT “HONDA” BADGES AROUND…THE ONE U POSTED LOOKS LIKE THE OLDER ONES…I THINK BUT NOT SURE MINE CAME OFF OF LIKE A 90 ACCORD. CUZ MINE DOESNT LOOK LIKE THAT. DOESNT HAVE THAT MUCH BLACK…JUST LIKE AN OUTLINE .

Does anyone have a picture of the Honda badge (Not the H) that actually came on the G2 Integra’s that were sold in places other than North America??
EDIT: I think I found one, can anyone verify this or tell me what size it is in comparison to the “Integra” on the right side of the hatch??
