Yes. for checking for the current draw I set it to 10a.
For the continuity test I set it to diode.
So what do you think I should do?
UPDATE: My car started up great like normal after a three day sit with the Auto seat belt control unit disconnected. I tested the draw with the unit disconnected and it read a normal .02
You can’t do a proper continuity check with meter set on diode test, it needs to be on continuity.
Yes replace the auto seat belt control unit.
Yes, a defective electronic component with a 12V+ constant can kill a batt… even a good, fully charged, new one, as you already, obviously, know.:stare: 94
