i just got my b18a out of my teg. im putting in a b16a. ive just got a couple of questions till i put my b16a in.
- ive notice that the exhaust manifolds are different. the b18a is a 4-1 and the b16a is 4-2-1. i only recieved the first part 4-2 (dont know proper terminology so try to understand) on the b16. i dont want to put my b18 manifold on because im sure it would kill performance, also the second o2 sensor wouldnt go anywhere.what should i do. im thinking about just buying an aftermarket header for it but if i dont have the $$$$ where could i find the second piece to the b16 manifold?
2.wiring ive read there is supposed to be 5 wires run for the vtec. im planning on building a separate harness for them and use my b18a harness on my new engine . i know i need to run wires for vtec pressure,vtec selonoid,knock,and o2.my question is about the ground im supposed to run. ive been told it comes pout of the vtec selonoid but i dont see one. the only one of these sensors that has 2 wires coming out is the knock. its a green and a red i believe(cars not here so i cant go check) is one of these the ground i have to run? (i assume its the green thats a ground but everyone knows assume = ass out of u and me)should there be another wire? and if so then where does the second wire that comes out of the knock sensor run. ive only read about one
3when ordering parts what car do i order them for since the b16a1 wasnt placed in american cars. would ordering for a delsol vterc work. im just wondering for future reference
please help cause i want to have everything figured out before i put the engine in
