well… my 94 hatch got totaled, some stupid bitch apparently couldn’t handle what it took to drive and hit it while it was parked on the side of the road. So what i’m thinking now is scrap together what’s left over after the loan is paid off which will be about 2k, find a 90-93 teg with decent body and interior and pay in cash… then take a personal loan and swap in a b16a. Any thoughts on this swap? comments from people who have done it in terms of speed/difficulty/cost? anything would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance
My theory on the b16 swap (if your ls motor is still good)is as followed:

i personally wouldn’t do the b16a unless it was just a stepping stone to something bigger and better (i.e. use the head, IM manifold, ecu, tranny… and get a larger bottom end). if i wasn’t planning on a big buildup like that i’d just refresh the stock motor if it needed it or maybe throw in a b20.
well i’m getting it for 1500 about with a y1 trans and lsd… i talk to a guy who had a 92 gs-r who ran a 15.2 with aem cai and tanabe rm… and a b16a only has like 5lb/ft torque less. So to me it’s worth it. Not to mention DOHC VTEC owns you

the only thing Vtec ownes is my exhaust fumes when I blow by them. The only thing cool about vtec is the valve cover and the oil squirter on the bottom of the pistons.
Just to remind you Vtec was invented for fuel efficienty, not performance!
vtec was invented for fuel economy? i thought it was meant to make good power through out the entire rpm range… nah it must be fuel economy, that’s why they put vtec in all the performance models of their cars, what was i thinking?
