I am going to put the sqeeze on my teg, and was going to upgrade the fuel system first. I believe that I’ve read on one of the fuel upgrade posts that the stock injectors are 240cc. I talked to RC and they said that the biggest I could run is a 320cc but didn’t sound certain that it would actually idle. I’d like the biggest injectors possible. What are you guys running and what would you suggest that I run?
My car has the standard IHE mods and is internally stock.
depends on what you for your motor… if u wanna stay with what u have now… stock is fine… just get em cleaned and balanced. and maybe add a fuel pressure regulator. but stock is fine for what u have.
You can balance a fuel injector? Anyway, if you want to be on the safe side. Get 270cc or 300cc injectors and get an S-AFC. You can tune the amount of fuel your engine gets so you know it’s getting the right amount.
If your gonna put the squeeze on it, I’d go with like 270s at the most… 310s are a little big for NA with N20 occasionally… With some 270s you should be able to get a FPR and ride OK…
Why not the 310s? Do you think I would have problems with idling? Also, is the FPR necessary with larger injectors and nitrous?
Thanks [/B]
Some people are OK with 310s but I’ve heard a lot of RICH runinng, flooding type situations without at LEAST an AFC. I’d say go with like 270’s for ease of tuning, lack of richness-flood type etc… 270s should be OK with the amount of N20 you can put on a stock bottom end. You can only run about ~70 shot on stock bottom end without the right tuning/fuel/ignition… And you should be safe with the 270s or similar for that… After that much N20 you’ll need tuning to keep your motor legit… Hope this helps a little…
So 310s may run a bit too rich without electronic fuel control. What about an FPR, is this absolutely necessary with the 270s? It seems that everyone I know with an FPR is running too rich, especially if they have larger injectors.
