rear defroster lines removal

I want to remove the ugly brown lines off of the rear hatch window. It looks like if I take a razor to it it’ll peel right off. But what then? is it safe to just cut off and electrical tape the end? Is there a fuse that I can pull out so that if I accidentally hit the defrost button it won’t turn on? I read on the board there are two fuses, one in the engine fuse box and one in the kickpanel… ?

you can’t remove the brown lines. They are baked into the glass. A razor blade will only remove the metal that is on the brown lines.

wow so there’s no way to get rid of the brown? what if I bake it off? hehehe

I suppose you could get a new hatch window. =)

hehe it would be better to go .J.'s route, and buy the Lexan hatch window :drool:

for those lexan windows, can I put tint on them?
