I am trying to replace my bent out tie rod, but can’t get the nut to spin … anyone know how to do this? It’s not even in my Acura service manual … HELP!!!

You need a pickle fork to put pressure on the ball joint so that you can break the castle nut free. The ball joint is just spinning because it has no resistance. You can pick up a pickle fork at most auto parts stores. The cost any where from $ 9.00 and up. Make sure that you buy the right size. It should be the smallest one they sell. I had the same problem a few weeks age trying to pull a steering knuckle for a friend of mine, but I was lucky I already had the tool!
Thanks … got the joint off ok, it was the nut holding the rod end on that was a byatch to get off … just needed more elbow grease!
after you loosen the nut, get a hammer and give the rod a knok upword… not too powerful but enough to get it out of its loding place and the nut will just come out.
