Representing the G2s at ITR Expo 8

thats a nice 4 door …just like the one i have but this one looks better…IMO…

what track is that?

I would love to upgrade to pics in the near future; however, it seems no one has much to say about them. I would like to know how they compare to the gc/koni bandwagon.

Very nice db1 by the way.

Wicked plate NO TURBO

hey what kinda of muffler is that? it looks like a G3’s Kinda!

Virginia International Raceway (VIR) maybe?

and the muffler looks like a Vibrant Stealth with a custom exhaust. i was going to get that set up but got an ExMag instead!

VIR indeed.

It’s an es tuning muffler at the end of a custom exhaust. The guy who made it cut out a tiny bit of the bumper for the tip to clear.

curious about your setup…

whats does your 1.85L consist of?

also with regarding to your suspension… how do you like the ST rear sway? do you think its necessary based on your setup to go with an ITR 22 or progress rear sway in the future?

Mugen RTAB’s did you replace the whole TA with a DC or did you burn out the OE one and slip the DC2 TAB into the sleeve?

GSR block bored out 1mm to clean up some deep scratches
wiseco high comp pistons
forget what brand forged rods (was gonna go nitrous, mad I have forged rods now for no reason)
ACL bearings, ARP hardware where necessary
GE headgasket
b16 head
mild P&P
skunk2 valvetrain and stage2 cams

That’s the main bits.

I’ll probably step up in the future. I actually had my bar mostly disconnected at the expo because I’m such a rookie. It’s connected now, and I’m still figuring out how to use it to rotate the car. It’s pretty fun playing around with it, but I figure sometime next year or the year after I’ll want to step up to a bigger bar, once I’ve gotten comfortable with the amount of rotation I can get with trail braking. I also wanna get some more autocrosses under my belt, because that’s where the rotation really seems to help.

I hacked the old rubber out with a coping saw and then used a drum sander on my drill to clean out what was left. Then I pressed the mugen bushings into the old sleeves. The rear trailing arms are actually DA junkyard arms that did time on my CRX for 4 years or so.
