hey guys, Im new to this site but i have been a member at Team Integra for a long time and I just checked out this site and thought you all could help some more too. but anyways… I didnt want to be too illegal with the tail lights paiting candy apple red stuff… so me and a peep decided to do a project and make my top break light (on the top of the hatch window) into a reverse light… we took the reverse wiring and wired it up to the one on the window and cleared out the red so now it is clear, and runs when i put it in reverse… is this really illegal or what? what do you all think about it?
sounds pretty clever, but i have no clue if its legal or not!

I’m pretty sure you need two (bulbs) reverse lights

You do have to have two reverse lights, same law as for headlights. And you have to be able to see them from a certain distance. And you have to have a third brakelight which it sounds like you don’t have anymore. I’m also pretty sure that they have to be a certain distance from the ground, not too high or too low you should be able to find the “car laws” online soemwhere. I just say you disconnect the reverse lights and then just not back up in front of cops. (which is illegal)
