Igot 91 RS with 120 k in it. I’m just wondering what can I do to rebuild it? Everyone is talking about LS-Vtezc, B16… but not an RS.
I want to go faster but not swapping the engine (just toomuch money). My budget is around $1000-$2000. Any ideas? RS people…
an RS uses the same engine as the LS does- its called an LS-Vtec b/c the RS is not a model for G2 integras only the LS and GS-R. The engine code is b18a or b18b btw so that might help things be less confusing for you. As far as rebuilding goes, I would suggest you to figure out how much you are willing to spend on this, whether you simply want it back to OEM specs or if you are loking to modify the motor to extract more power out of it, and whether you are able to do the work yourself and if not, where you will get this done and how much it will cost you.
and if you :search: the boards- I’d suggest going into the G2IC archives forum and looking it over - you can learn a lot without us giving info we’ve given out time and time again

Whatchoo talkin’ ‘bout? I’ve got an RS, sift through the Members section and you’ll see lots of RS’ and even a GS here and there.
Well thats News to me, maybe I should be looking at doing a rs/vtec conversion, also I remember reading an article here or somewhere else about the ls/vtec and if not built properly you sacrifice reliablitiy and end up with an over stressed engine, of course I’ll do somemore research on that first.

btw Hello guys, I’m new here. [/B]
ok, ls/vtec is simply a phrase used for mating a nonvtec b series block to a vtec b series head- The process will be the same for you. You have the same exact motor as someone that has an LS trim integra has. The motors are not different.
