im thinkig about picking up this teg locally, its in really bad shape, and doing something crazy to it to practice bodywork.
I wanted to do an '05 conversion since they are straightlights, I figured it would look closer to OEM
but that looks good, can’t wait to see it painted 
I was going to do the 05 taillights…but the thing was that it was straight at the bottom…having the round part at the bottom of the light let me use up some space down there by flaring it out… a little more technical…plus most people who consider doing this conversion will pick an easier route with the new ones…I wanted something that would really let me learn alot…considering this is my first real body work…
I think the 05’s would have looked better… there’s a guy here in the 604 that did this conversion on his g2 a few years back…

Meh… i’m still a fan of leaving stuff like tail lights as-is… but nomatter what, i always give credit to a job well done. That one was really cleanly done, and this one looks like it’s coming along as well. i don’t care much for crazy wings and kits and spoilers and all that, but if it’s done right i still wont bitch… i figured SOMEONE was gonna bring up the wing… but hey… thats a show car for you…

Always… annoys me… i can understand if you have wings like that on a daily driver… but showcars are generally supposed to be crazy and out there… The louder they are, the more points they get it seems… I blame the judging and the public school system 
tell you something, so long as I am not driving the car everyday, what others do to their car doesn’t affect me at all…
naturally I HATE rice, but I don’t consider well done showcars rice…I consider Elantras with Chrome rims and exhaust rice :salute:
i consider fake plastic hubcap spinners rice… :giggle: Sooooo many of them must have sold… i see them around here n’ there… and usually the passenger side rear one is broken (cause they cant park worth shit and curb them…
people buy 50k dollar cars and curb the rims the first day, what makes you think 30 dollar hubcap spinners would cause them to be more cautious…
the best part is, they put them on there straightfaced…People actually think hubcap spinners are cool…:wtf:
anything that look like a shopping cart/space ship is rice to me… lol.

a k series would be nice…have thought and looked into it…haven’t found nothing so I decided to do an ls/vtec conversion…I almost have all the parts…I just have to find me a good shop that can do this for me in CT… I just want you guys to know that I’m not building my car for shows…I’m building it for me…I have no intention on bringing it to a car show…if I do then I do…but its not what I plan…I just want to be proud of my work…I want people to see it and think that it came factory like that…but they’re not quite sure … know what i mean…
I think it’ll look very oem-ish when you’re done with the exception of the wing… which i actually think looks great for what you’re aiming for… I don’t, however, like the 3rd party GTS rear window visor… it’s a lil too big compared to the oem one…
