Man That is hilarous. One time at Wal-mart, while i was working there. I just pulled up, and turned the car off, and the D@mn thing starting choking me. A passerby, stopped and popped the door open. Man I felt like an @ss. Seems like your car is trying to kill ya. Naw, she loves me to death. Well soon i plan to remove the entire system. Tracks and all, btw they are black… Getting 4 point racing seat belts. Oh yeah major weight reduction, removing those POS.
my seatbelt is starting to fray in the retractor, i might have to take it to the shop next week to get that fixed, anyone know about any other recals on 91’s so i can go ahead and get the whole shabang at once?
My car was a salvage and my belts don’t work. They lock up when u hit the brakes they just don’t go down the track. Will Acura cover this? Thanks. Peace.
does anyone know how to disable the sliding seatbelts? is there some wire i can cut that will just shut them off in the right position? everytime someone opens the door they get clipped by the moving seatbelt. anyway, i’m open to any soluition
hmmm not sure if its the same with yours. when i brought my car it came with i think 97 leather seats. and the guy told me it kept beeping. so there was a plug on the ecu which he took off that disabled the beeping and the seatbelts. now my seatbelts just stays at the top position. i just have to lift the seatbelt to get in if i wear it.
It is the Seatbelt control module that is behind the passenger kick panel. you can unplug it and all seatbelt functions will cease.
Just understand that you now will have to either climb in behind the shoulder belt or unhook and hook it each time you get in and out of the vehicle.
The only time my seatbelt “attacks” me or my passenger is if you try to open the door while looking back out the window. Other than that, I haven’t had a problem. Are they getting clipped while trying to enter or exit the car??? Unless they are trying to Jump out of the car before the seatbelt has time to retract (they’d have to be pretty quick!)
the only other thing I can imagine is what used to happen to my wife. She refused to wear the seatbelt, so she would get out from behind the shoulder belt and leave the shoulder belt between the seat and her back. When she opened the door, the belt would wrap around her neck as it slid forward on the track. (served her right) :evil:
Now she doesn’t do that anymore (but she still refuses to wear the lap belt) :tsk:

what about color matching with carpet? door panels etc

My passenger seatbelt locks up if i pull into a parkin spot and stop short. The belt locks up and when the person opens the door it gets stock realy tite on them. It pretty funny!

hmm no pics but i can take it tomorrow. i brought the car with the leather front seats. the rear is stock. so i guess the guy before me tried and it didnt fit. hmm color matching… you’ll see in the picture. its not all that great though.
I just installed my DEL SOL seats and it was beeeepin like crazy…I took the belts off and I’m using TRUST 4 point HARNESS…pretty tight… getttin pics reallll soon…of project integra…
Don’t we all wish we had the CANADIAN G2s? freakin nice seat belts…I think our’s suck…like when my friend has his head going through the passenger window talkin to me, and I turn my car on…almost took his head off, and its not like a freakin elevator where if the door hits you, it will go back open, these motherf******* keeping putting more pressure…ahahahahahaha
This happens in my car sometimes, but only on the passager side. It usually happens when someone gets in the back and then locks the seat back. The person in front never suspects what’s about to happen. I guess that’s one plus about sittin in the back, you don’t get choked by the possessed belts.
the seatbelt actually ripped one of my flip down sun guards off. stripped the bolts off. the reason was cuz i had the stupid filp thing down and pushed to the side window to block the sun from the left. right when I turned off the car, CRACK! well all the new cars don’t have this feature anymore, too bad I don’t ahve a canadian car. anybody convert their seatbelts?
