Shaving Side Moldings...

lmao i own chris’s car now…well the frames gone but i still ave the doors and fenders which where shaved good up until now but they’ve finally cracked. Still got the b17 and interior…

what happend to it? it had black leather right?

??? the rear moldings a biatchh? it wuld b the same as the door 1’s, its not hard if ur panel beater is good. i dont know man it just doesnt look right. if ur gona do it, do it right like i have all moldings r gone looks way better n looks modern.

before shaving the molding, take a door off and put a straight edge across the the door vertically. the whole door skin angles in towards the molding ditch area. the only way to shave it and really look good is to weld a panel from about 6" from the bottem of the door to just under the door handle. i know team prototype used to take a huge piece of sheet metal and pretty much make a new door skin on some of their cars.

vtegra -what i dont understand is y isnt the rear bumper black strip been kept and not shaven off, the car is not consistent and looks dumb, not neat at all

92-94 civics are the other way. no moldings on the bumpers but molding on the side, they look fine and neat.

the moldings on the DA bumpers arent as ugly as the side moldings.

ive seen a few pics of this car and it looks pretty damm nice. even with the bumper moldings.

i just finished my rear quarter panels, i just grinded it down to bear metal and nicely packed bondo into it, should hold up for 2-3 years atleast if it doesnt, bondo was cheap and only took me a little while

wow. now you will have 1/4’s that match the wavyness of your old gsr. =(

my old gsr wasnt wavy…

but anyway, what g2 you roll your from danbury? maybe ive see you around…
