Another problem (ok I know I have lots of glitches didn’t get the car that long ago)
Now I just bought this reactive carbon fibre shift nob but I cant get it to stay on right, the threads broke…turned to hard gimme a break…it was just cheap plastic anyway, now is there anyway I can get it to stay on and not move back and forth without recking my car with crappy glue?
Please specify if your shifter knob is a screw on (like what a normal knob should be;) ) or do you have to lock in place using 3 screws? And are you saying the shifter threads broke?
…you’re not answering my questions correctly. So, I’ll assume that you need 3 screws to properply hold your shifter knob in place. If you broke one of the threads in that shifter knob, you can always re-thread it with a (drum roll please) re-threader (or whatever they call them). The screw that they normally use is available at Crappy Tire in case you lose them…in their screw bin section. Can’t remember the dimension off-hand though…I threw mine out and got a proper shifter knob:D
It comes with three “adapters” (automotive warehouse guy called them)
8mm 10mm and 12mm. You stick this inside the shift nob then put cap on and srew it onto your shifter…well I screwed to hard and it broke my adapter (which is made of plastic) so then I managed to get it on but it would still turn and the bottom wobbled, I tried a few things like wrapping electrical tape around shifter, this sorta works but I still dotn like how it sits. My OEM one doesn’t move at all and it bothers me greatly when I am driving if it moves the least bit.
