Ok,
Driving along and then I get cut off (make a long story short) I floor it and as it launches forward I hear a SNAP(kind of clunk sound)
Anyway after that it was in gear and I didn’t need clutch to get in gear and when it was in gear it showed it was moving on spedometer but wasn’t and it kind of grinds a very small amount on “something” when its in gear. The car will not move however although it runs/sounds fine.
I thought it was clutch but I think that is highly unlikely that i killed one that quick as it was replaced in summer by the previous owner.
I was told by the tow truck guy that it looked like the drive axle.
Could someone diagnose this for me? If its the drive axle how much will that cost to get installed or is it easy to do myself? And if its the clutch well I know how much work that would be.
