SRP Camber Kit - generic cheap Ingalls clones - DO NOT BUY

fROm Da deAD!

Was this issue resolved?

Just noticed my upper control arm is doing the same thing :uhoh: and its only the driver side…hmmm…

Mine is rubbing on driver’s side also, and inside fender hit on driver’s side only also. I have the Ingall’s.

I wish they made adjustable upper control arms for 2nd gens.

quick update since i received a question about the rubbing. here’s my response:

it basically just stopped rubbing by itself. i believe it was after i made my own bushings since mine were missing. what’s worse is that they kept breaking a while ago and i had to reweld them. the threaded bolt inside would break from it’s base. i used a torque wrench to tighten to spec most of the time.
so the lesson is still, don’t buy clones. buy ingalls. good luck.

i had the same problem… from a dropzone kit on Ebay tho… fronts on the pass side would hit the fenderwell… although the driver side looked like it cleared(barely) but i would notice when i would back outta my driveway the suspension would clunk and if i gased it hard(cuz the control arm was sliding on the pins) so i took that facker out… but now i notice a clunk when i full turn and back out of my driveway… was gonna look at some ingalls… but you said the ingalls has the same problem… maybe ill buy a ball joint type… any bad experiences with these?

I bought a used kit advertised as an Ingall’s kit off ebay and it is doing the same thing. I cut a notch in the inner fender lining so that only hits on severe suspension compression. I kept thinking that my kit was loose and allowing the upper control arm to move on the adjustment bolt on the kit. But after tightening the adj bolt, I noticed that my play was coming from the bushings in the camber kit anchor. I just ordered some polys from ES and will give an update after the bushing install. I hope this gets rid of all the play in my camber kit.

XDEep, what size washers did you use and where did you get em’ from?

I had the same problem at first, but I just tighten the top, and it’s been holding straight. But I know it wont hold up for long. Also my car bangin’ on the drivers side. Now I’m gonna go check under my hood to see if I got a dent.

i dont remember what size, probably 3/8", from home depot or pep boys i forget. probably not critical as the change would be too minimal.

if i haven’t mentioned it before, the thing is it is hard to get a torque wrench up there, so i did the tightening by hand. if it moved, i would adjust it back and tighten harder than before. with cheap materials, you can feel it start to twist instead of lock and stop. if you’ve used cheap lugnuts you know what i mean.

it may hold up for you who knows. i drove very hard and had a very stiff suspension.

as for the arm bending forward, people said the ingall’s do that as well, so the main reason to buy them is so they don’t break. good luck.
