Well I still have this totally wierd noise coming from the throttlebody. It sounds like a bearing going bad on one of the cooling fans, but its coming directely from the TB. It is very spuratic as in it doesnt happen very often. It doesnt affect performance at all, and I can make it go away by giving it some throttle. Im at a total loss here and the 2 people that I have actually got to hear the noise have no idea. Any imput is welcome. Any that is, go ahead, take a stab at it:)
Throttle body gremlin is all I can say. Get some Honda Gremlin Remover and get rid of that thing. The spray kind works better than the wipe on. hehehehehe :rolleyes:

The military solution would be to drill a hole in your exhaust manifold so that you couldn’t hear the TB noise. Ofcourse, this would only be if the Check List you had didn’t have a spot for “Exhaust Manifold.” That way according to the check sheet, nothing is wrong.

Well I have no ideas for your TB, unless its a freak resonance which you would be very difficult to fix without just replacing it. But I have seen a lot of people misplace noise sources. It isn’t as easy as many people think to pinpoint the source of noise so closely.
Are you sure one of your friends didn’t put a deer whistle in one of your intake runners?? heh
Hehehe, nope, but the 2-3 times it actually made the noise long enough that I could get under the hood to try to pinpoint it, it was coming out the intake. The next time it made the noise, I slammed on the brakes, popped the hood and the trunk, ran from the trunk to the hood, removed the intake and listened closley. The noise waas coming right from the throttlebody opening.
Is there things that go bad inside the intake? Sensors or anything of them sorts??
Have you got a friend that could ride under your hood while you drive to listen to the noise? Maybe a valve cover mounted vidcam…
Well its good to know theres as many smartasses out there as I had hoped:) LOL at least I got some good laughs outta this post, even though Im no further on finding out what the hell that noise is.
