Stock MAP sensor for my turbo car ?

Hey I will be using Uberdata and heard that my stock MAP sensor can read up to 11 psi, is that right ?
I know it will throw CEL because it senses positive pressure, but will the ecu read the boost and correct the fuel curve even with a stock MAP sensor ?
my G2 is a 93 obd-1 and will run daily 7psi.

When you make a tune for your euc via uberdata. It should configure teh ecu sot aht you can read 11psi of positive pressure and not throw a CEL

so if i run below 11 psi i can still use the stock map sensor and not buy the 2 or 3 BAR one ?

Yep…do that

And Whats Approx Price On Them ?
Is Anything Else Needed When Changing The Sensor
Or Just Unplug One And In With The Other

Stock MAP can read anywhere from 9.6 (obd0) - 10.5 (obd1) psi.

2 Bar and 3 Bar MAPs can be found on factory turbo cars of many makes and models. You can also buy brand new GM 3Bar MAPs from online retailers.

My choice, would be the Motorola 2.5 Bar Map sensor. You can get it on Digikey but I also sell it with a little instruction sheet. Its the MAP that the MegaSquirt kits recommends as well.

It is supported in TurboEdit and Crome, my two favorite DIY engine managements for Hondas as well

do you know if Uberdata supports that motorola 2.5 bar map? I know that uberdata supports 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 bar( where ever you can find that) map sensors. but are all the map sensors the same? GM and Motorola or are they different?

I dunno if Uber does or not…but Crome sure does.
